The best Kung Fu shoes! July 6, 2008 Jade S. Kuei (Robotown) The best Kung Fu shoes! They are also great for light everyday use, but not supportive enough for heavy use (like jogging or rough terrain).
Great shoes April 21, 2008 Mark C. E. Peterson (West Bend, WI USA) I use them for taiji (Yang and Wu, 25 years now). They aren't *perfectly* flat... there's often a bit of roll down the center line of the sole. So, if you're beginner, find something perfectly flat -- but if you've learned your form and have begun the decades' long process of improvement, yeah, you want these.
They will stick a bit on wooden floors (which is great practice for your balance) but will take some getting used to if you're accustomed to cotton soled kungfu shoes.
Mine have been to Shanghai and back a few times now. One of the other reviewers rightly warned that you need to watch your sizing. My foot is somewhere between 12.5 and 13 in American sizing and I needed the 47.
Be well. Mp
Great shoe for Kung fu April 11, 2008 M. Bell (Atlanta, GA) I wear these when we train outside, they are light and comfortable, great for wushu training.
my choice for parkour April 8, 2008 M. Mills (Hamburg, Europe) Are you looking for a PK shoe?
What can I say? They feel very bouncy, good grip on many surfaces, great feel for railings, I like the style... Not suitable for heel-strikers, though, and you may have to learn to land with more control & silence. Which will only do you good.
The sole does disintegrate over time as the concrete and gravel etc eat away at it, but then that's because it's got awesome grip.
Price unbeatable. Wonder who glues these together...
Fantastic pair of shoes February 11, 2008 R. Chin I bought this pair of shoes about a couple of years ago after reading rave reviews about it on [...]. And I must say, I have not been disappointed in the least. They are extremely comfortble and have taken quite a lot of abuse.
The grooves in the ruber sole provides great traction on the hard floors such as concrete and hardwood but tends to grip rubber mats a liitle too hard making feet movement a little restrictive.
But all things considered, a fantastic pair of shoes.
