I bought these for my five year old daughter to practice with and they are the perfect weight for her. She has been using them for about a year with no problems whatsoever. As an adult, I use a set with chains, but for little wrists that don't have the strength yet, ropes are a great.

Bought a pair of these and three days later the nylon cord snapped. I used them about 30 minutes a day each day. I did not beat on them, but practiced seriously. Not expensive but also not very good quality, better off with chain nunchaku.
