4 out of 5 stars a frog is a frog   December 20, 2008

A frog is a frog. I would take a year of use to evaluate howthis holdsup. But it arrived in a timely manner, looks good, and was very reasonable.

1 out of 5 stars Quite Dissapointed, should say Rapiers only!   October 5, 2008

!!Any other sword is too big!!
I ordered 2 of these after seeing them 'Frequently Bought' with another Sword I was purchasing. Since I was getting 2 swords I figured, I'd get 2 Frogs as well, Big Mistake. The Frogs do not adjust and actually do not fit either sword I purchased that were both 'Frequently Bought' with them. The frogs are of good quality material, and since they don't look too professional, that's just about all they have going for them. If you buy a RAPIER they might be okay for a cheap fix, but nothing else. Do yourself the favor and buy something that is adjustable, and even something that looks better. It would cost me more money to return these items then it would to keep them, so I am stuck with them. Hope this helps you like it would have me.

3 out of 5 stars What I expected....   September 7, 2007

I bought four of these and it was what I expected. It will only fit all blade styles when you use less loops in the holder. Also make sure you have a thick enough belt to hold both the frog and sword.

I used this product to support my rapier sword at the Texas Ren Fest for 5 weekends. It's sturdy, good quality leather and accomodated my sword perfectly.

3 out of 5 stars Easier than making one from scratch.   May 12, 2006

You just about NEED a frog if you're going to carry a rapier, so I bought this one. Despite the description, there are no snaps, only rivets. The result is no adjustability. My rapier's scabbard was a very loose fit. I was able to modify the fit by tightening the scabbard loops with some leather lacing. It'll do for now, but I'm going to keep my eyes open for a better one.
