Product Description
The fighting skills of the shadow warrior - the ninja - made them feared throughout Japan. But the wise man had greater fear for their bloodless methods of domination, which the ninja mind masters preferred to crude physical violence. Ninja broke through their enemies' mental defenses using direct attack or stealth, comparing such operations to invading an enemy fortress. In this guided tour through the mysterious realm of the ninja, martial arts experts Dr. Haha Lung and Christopher B. Prowant reveal the secrets that will allow you to tell when someone is lying to you, implant false memories, tailor your attack by using the specific keys to each individual's mind, use verbal patterns and body language to earn your foe's utter trust, interrogate using unbeatable psychological methods and much more. You will also learn the terrifying truth behind modern mind-control, propaganda and brainwashing techniques used by cults (and our own government), as well as take a look ahead to the future of mass mind control. The wars of tomorrow may well be won or lost in the battlefield of the mind. This book could mean the difference between winning your freedom and losing everything.

1 out of 5 stars Good Lord!!!   November 12, 2008
The Doctor (The TARDIS)

Wow. I can't believe all the glowing reviews here. This book is a joke people, and I mean that literally. I am a psychologist. I have a Masters degree in experimental psychology, I do research in the area of cognitive science, and I am working on my PhD in decision science. I am NOT saying that the principles and points in this book are wrong and that I know of the correct ones, but rather that there is no such thing as the drivel discussed in this book. Thank goodness. The last thing we need is a bunch of unstable ninja wannabes who can actually manipulate minds.

Those who think that the psychological principles in this book are sound haven't a chance of becoming some kind of "psychological manipulator," for their understanding of psychology is so astronomically minute that they can't even recognize that the stuff discussed in this book is pure fiction. I'll give an example: Despite what this book claims, it is simply not true that people glance in certain directions when attempting to recall certain types of memories, or when attempting to generate certain types of thoughts. People do NOT look up and to the right when trying to construct visual images or straight and to the left when trying to remember auditory experiences.

This is a psychological folk tale that was generated by Richard Bandler and Robert Dilts, two of the main figures in Neuro Linguistic Programming, which, if you don't know, is a sham. This notion was made popular in the film The Negotiator starring Samuel L. Jackson. Alas, however, it's a bunch of hokum that is not corroborated by research. Try it. It doesn't work. And don't buy this book unless you're just looking for a few solid belly laughs.

By the way, if you do happen to disagree with my assessment of this book, and if you happen to believe that such tactics are in fact effective, then it should greatly interest you to know that the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons just released an article arguing that Barack Obama employs some of the techniques described in this book! That's right. I am not making this up. Supposedly he trained in NLP and has been using these techniques in his speeches. Perhaps that explains why he talks sooooo ssslllloooowwwwww and why he repeats certain vague phrases over and over and over again.

The authors of this book have another book listed on Amazon called Mind Manipulation. For those who don't know, it's the EXACT SAME BOOK as this one.

5 out of 5 stars Important Information to Know   October 30, 2008
Bohdi Sanders, Ph.D. (Loveland, CO)
This book is literally packed with information which is important for everyone to know. Dr. Lung takes his readers into ancient and modern manipulation techniques that are used on the general population by those in the know. From police to con men, those who have this information have an advantage on those who do not. This book is very eclectic in nature and covers many, many aspects of mind control and manipulation that most people have never even dreamed of and which everyone should know.

I whole heartedly recommend this book to everyone. This book is not just for those involved in the martial arts. It contains information that everyone should know about and be aware of. I plan on reading the rest of Dr. Lung's books also, as I was totally impressed with The Black Science. 5 Stars!!

5 out of 5 stars Martial Artists HATE this Guy   September 28, 2008
S. L. Swayze (Mesa, AZ United States)
There's so much hatred in the martial arts community directed at this author, Ha Ha Lung, that I knew they must be trying to hide something. So I bought this book, BLACK SCIENCE and gave it a read. I ended up staying up all night reading it. The material in this book is unbelievable. So I bought the rest of his books and most of them were equally incredible. This is hard-core information on manipulating people. Insights you'd normally have to spend 8 years in college getting your PhD in psychology. Ha Ha Lung's books are packed with arcane secrets you won't find in other texts on martial arts. I think the reason he's so disliked is because he gives away the good stuff. I always look forward to his next book. NOTE: If you have this book you won't need to buy Mind Manipulation. They are the same book with a title change. Black Science is printed on better paper and will last much longer.

I just completed this book and I found it very engrossing in terms of how much information they present to you. I did not want to stop reading it every night because of how interesting the topics were that they discussed. From hypnotism and how it's used to what the Japanese have recently done to play "mind games". If your interested in any sort of "black science", this is definitely a great read that packs so much information in such a small book.
