| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Using line drawings representing two judo practitioners performing techniques, this book covers all the skills required to reach black belt. The main action runs along the middle of the page, while alternative moves, combinations or counters are placed above or below the relevant points. Using the diagrams for reference, it is easy to work out the elements in each technique and from there how to adapt to continually changing situations. It also contains helpful information about dojo etiquette, balance and movement, breakfalls and general groundwork.

You won't find anything better! February 10, 2004 Rodrigo M Garcia (Porto Alegre, Brazil) The information on judo's history, traditions, etc in the introductory part of the book is a little weak, however I belive the goal of the book is to show step by step the proper execution of most judo technics and this is wonderfully done in this book. The ilustrations, specialy the NAGE-WAZA's, are very detailed, they show you the complete execution of a certain technic added of coments and combined attacks. A great book not only (but specialy) for beginners but also for the experienced in the sport.
